McHenry MS Real Estate

Why Invest In Real Estate In McHenry, Mississippi?

History Of McHenry Mississippi

McHenry, MS can be found in Stone County and is about ten miles south of Wiggins which is the County Seat.

The spectacular McHenry area started to be settled in the late 1880’s that was completely covered by virgin forests.   The name of the town was selected in honor of Dr. George McHenry who was a distinguished early resident.

In 1893, the railroad service was finished that connected the McHenry vicinity to the harbour in Gulfport.  This railroad made it possible for the McHenry community to flourish when huge sawmills were built to take advantage of the huge timber reserves which were available in the yellow pine forests.

McHenry supplies property owners who dwell here stunning natural surroundings.  And, although McHenry is only a 20 minute drive at most from the Mississippi Gulf Coast beaches, the price of purchasing a home here becomes more affordable than real estate offered in coastal communities located in Jackson, Harrison, and Hancock counties.   McHenry MS Real Estate And, McHenry is located far enough north of the Mississippi Gulf Coast that the consequence of violent weather triggered by hurricanes is substantially reduced.  See Kelly's You Tube Channel
