Moss Point, Mississippi is a city located in Harrison County and is about three miles north of Pascagoula which is the county seat. The City of Moss Point was incorporated in 1901 and became an industrial city that was comprised of paper mills and the ship building industry. The locale of Moss Point enabled the city to become a significant player in the South Mississippi lumber industry beginning as early as 1840.
